WHO WE ARE

Welcome to Save Orphans and Disabled African Children (SODAC)! We are a dedicated and passionate Ugandan non-profit organization committed to transforming lives and making a tangible difference in our communities. Founded with the noble vision of supporting the most vulnerable populations in Uganda, our mission is to uplift and empower orphans, disabled children, elderly people, youths, young mothers, and girls through various support programs and initiatives.

Located in the heart of Kasiba-Kabutala, Kyegonza, Gomba District, we serve as a beacon of hope for those who need it most. Our primary focus is on providing essential educational services and scholastic materials to underprivileged children. We firmly believe that education is a powerful tool that can break the cycle of poverty and open doors to a brighter future.

Our Mission

Our mission is multi-faceted, encompassing a wide range of support services aimed at uplifting the most vulnerable members of our society.

SODAC in Elders

Our Core Values

  1. Altruism. When you help another human being, you’re committing an act of altruism.
  2. Dependability. Valuing dependability means you enjoy that trait in others or exhibit it yourself.
  3. Integrity. Telling the truth comes naturally, and you likely don’t talk behind others’ backs.
  4. Feedback. We value collaboration and gather feedback to refine our work, ensuring it aligns with your vision.
  5. Generosity. Being generous doesn’t always have to be about money. You can be generous with your time, kindness, or anything else.
  6. Courage. Exhibiting courage involves knowing something scares you but doing it anyway. Because we all have different fears and weaknesses, courage looks different in everyone.
  7. Gratitude. Gratitude is the act of appreciating what you have. One way to practice gratitude is by writing down what you’re grateful for each day.
  8. Education. If you value education or learning, you love the pursuit of knowledge.
  9. Family. Spending quality time with family is a great way to show them you care. Even if you didn’t come from a close family, you may want to imagine taking care of your own one day.
  10. Giving support. Everyone needs support when they’re going through a difficult phase of life. If you value giving support, you’re there to lend a listening ear.
  11. Sustainability. Do you recycle and care about the environment? If so, sustainability is likely a value of yours. You care about the state of the world and its inhabitants.
  12. Independence. Valuing independence means you love being self-sufficient. While it’s no big deal to ask for help or company, you prefer doing things on your own.
  13. Honesty. Being honest requires bravery, and it should be done with empathy and tact.
  14. Accountability. This may involve admitting to and learning from your mistakes. It may also involve taking responsibility for your goals.
  15. Loyalty. Everyone appreciates loyalty, whether employee loyalty or that of a friend or partner. If you’re loyal, you support others through thick and thin.
